Our many thanks for allowing us the pleasure of the Hobbit Loft. We are traveling nurses from Hot Springs Arkansas, currently working in Anchorage. We do many trips to Seward for whale watching tours. Our till be up in Sept. and we head back down to the "lower 48." :-( But with excellent memories & photos! Arkansas

Corvallis, Oregon I absolutely love Seward! My aunt is a great tour guide-she planned most of the details of our trip. She always looks for more "off the beaten path" things to do and places to stay. She outdid herself with this stop! The Hobbit Loft is Great! You guys have out done yourselves. It is cute, neat & very comfortable (even though all 3 of us are on the tall side ;-)) It was so wonderful at the end of the long day to be able to come home to such a great place! Seward will most definitely be on my next trip's itinerary, and when I'm planning, I promise.... I'll be in touch with you guys! Thanks for the wonderful hobbit home for 3 hobbit lovers. Seward provided wonderful entertainment, Kenai Fjords tour and great food at Yoly's Bistro (you're right-it's a great place to eat). We saw lots of animals too - stories to take home with us. We especially enjoyed beach combing at the end of the lane-you can't do that in Lincoln Nebraska!

This Hobbit cabin is great! Every morning I woke up in a fairy tale, expecting elves in the kitchen preparing breakfast! We had three wonderful days detached from reality, walking on the beach accompanied by sea lions and silence! We'll be back soon! Anchorage, Alaska
Aug ~ Have you ever seen a mtn stream a flowing with a fish swimming free or just even stopped to think about the air you are breathing? I guess all you can do is write about it or get out there and experience it. Life is not always about getting paid by the hour or worrying about grade point averages in college. Life is too short, so enjoy it while it's here, because in a snap of a finger it's gone. This is exactly what my family and I did here in Seward, Alaska. Took the time to put our lives on hold and go kayaking in glacier water, hike mts that only a few people ever have, catch wild rainbows in virgin waters with the occasional silver on a 5 wt fly rod. I do not know how you can beat that. I would like to thank Paul & Lynda for making this possible. The Hobbit Loft was a perfect place to stay along with the rest of Angels Rest. It's not every morning I can wake up with the sun shinning over the endless mts knowing whatever the day would bring me it would be a great day. I would also like to thank my parents, esp my dad, for letting my sister and me enjoy this wonderful place. Thanks you for everything!!! Richland, New York |

There's nothing like waking up in the "tree house" for 7 days!! The "Hobbit Loft" will always remain & hold special memories for us. Thank you so much. Seward is so beautiful and lively with all the wildlife. Life is very extreme here in Alaska and we feel so spoiled to be able to retreat into the Hobbit Loft each night. Thanksgiving weekend. What a precious cabin! A great place for a surprise trip for our 7 & 8 year olds. The boys favorite thing were the lamps with the foot control! We took a walk along the beach at a very low tide Friday pm & found a jellyfish, lots of starfish, and hermit crabs! Lots of fun. The boys said it felt like home. Peters Creek, Alaska

We loved the Hobbit Loft. I want to build one back in Florida. We enjoyed the cozy and peacefulness of this area. The mountains are wonderful and the walk on the beach was awesome. This was a great place to stay during the 3 days of winter rain. Nice & warm & dry. It's great to sleep in a bed again after driving over 7000 miles since I left New Hampshire.
