| During Summer Season there are minimum booking requirements unless there happens to be a smaller opening in the calender. The Wing and Gatehouse waterfront cabins require a minimum 3 night stay. The Cloud 9 waterfront cabin and the Heron's Roost water view rooms require two night minimums. We strongly recommend a 3 night minimum stay in the Seward area regardless of your lodging selection. It is especially beautiful and there are lots of things to do and see. If you are comparing rates, don't forget to also compare amenities! For single room reservations a 50% deposit is required with valid Visa or MasterCard at the time of booking, or processed the first week of January ofMi the year in which they occur, whichever comes later. The balance is due upon arrival. 1 night stays and reservations totaling $300 or less are processed in full 48 hours after booking is made (or in January if applicable). To take advantage of the Cash 5% discount, the following must apply: To take advantage of the 5% discount on the full amount of your reservation, your reservation must have been made 60 days or more in advance of arrival. Last minute bookings also have an option, see below. For Reservations made more than 60 days in advance, we will ask for a valid Visa or MasterCard to hold the reservation. You have the option of either prepaying the entire reservation with personal check or money order, or paying 50% deposit with personal check or money order with the balance due upon arrival in CASH. If the balance due is then placed on a credit card, the higher rate will apply on the remaining amount. Reservations made within 60 days of arrival, but more than 30 days in advance, have the option of saving the 5% on the 2nd half of the reservation, but because of the timing, the deposit will require credit card payment, unless special arrangements are made. For Reservations made within 30 days of arrival, we will pre-authorize a valid Visa or MasterCard to secure the reservation. Your balance due will be payable upon arrival in CASH, or you may leave the charge on the credit card at the higher rate. There are so many things to do in Seward, Alaska and the surrounding area, from simple wildlife watching and hiking to boat tours into the Kenai Fjords National Park to see glaciers and wildlife, that we encourage you to stay at least 3 nights so that you can take advantage of the numerous activities that make Seward such a special place to visit. The mountains surrounding Resurrection Bay provide spectacular scenery and they are alive with wildlife, as is the bay itself. The wildlife of the area includes bald eagles, bear (both black and brown), mountain goats, dall sheep, sea lions, dall porpoise, harbor seal, sea otters, humpback whales, sea birds & ducks too numerous to list! Seward itself is a charming town with two distinct areas of enjoyment. Downtown Seward offers a number of special businesses. The Seward Small Boat Harbor is a delightful place to walk around on a nice day (with an ice cream cone from the Harbor Creamery, if you like!), and the Alaska SeaLife Center and Seward Museum, or any of several coffee shops, are perfect places to spend a rainy afternoon. Since all of our waterfront lodging accommodations (cabins, view rooms) have kitchenettes, you won't have to eat all your meals out, but when you want to, there are a number of excellent restaurants in Seward Alaska. If you've never stayed in a small "ma & pa" accommodation, or if you normally stay in a hotel or motel, or bed and breakfast, you'll want to come stay with us and experience something special!
