Angels Rest Seward Alaska Maps Brochures

When you make a reservation with us, we email you a copy of our custom Seward map and our activities brochure. We encourage you to save a copy of the Seward Map to a mobile device so that you have it handy as you arrive to town. Or use the old fashioned method and print a copy out - color if possible. In case you need them again, you can also download them from the links below. This web page is new for the 2010 season, we appreciate your feedback.
  • Seward Map  this is our customized map of Seward just for our guests, our own personal tour if you will, showing lots of details including activity locations, places to eat and shop. Having a copy with you when you arrive to town is highly recommended.  We also leave a copy in each cabin or room.  Seward has two distinct areas: the Small Boat Harbor and Historic Downtown.  Additionally there are some interesting areas to explore, such as the salmon weir to the north, Lowell Point to the south (where we are located), Exit Glacier to the west, Twin Lakes Park in town (look on map on 1st Ave.) We can also email you a copy if you have any troubles here.
  • Seward Activities Brochure we overview the activities on several 8x11 pages. This brochure is a handy summary of the information you'll find in our "Things To Do" section. Includes current prices. Sometimes it's nice not to have to do all your planning in front of the computer!
  • Hiking Maps - As time allows we hope to expand this section to include PDF copies of favorite hikes in the area so you can plan ahead more easily. In the meantime you can visit our Hiking page which will take you to numerous trail maps.

There are so many things to do in Seward, Alaska and the surrounding area, from simple wildlife watching and hiking to boat tours into the Kenai Fjords National Park to see glaciers and wildlife, that we encourage you to stay at least 3 nights so that you can take advantage of the numerous activities that make Seward such a special place to visit.  The mountains surrounding Resurrection Bay provide spectacular scenery and they are alive with wildlife, as is the bay itself.  The wildlife of the area includes bald eagles, bear (both black and brown), mountain goats, dall sheep, sea lions, dall porpoise, harbor seal, sea otters, humpback whales, sea birds & ducks too numerous to list! Seward itself is a charming town with two distinct areas of enjoyment.  Downtown Seward offers a number of special businesses.  The Seward Small Boat Harbor is a delightful place to walk around on a nice day (with an ice cream cone from the Harbor Creamery, if you like!), and the Alaska SeaLife Center and Seward Museum, or any of several coffee shops, are perfect places to spend a rainy afternoon. Since all of our waterfront lodging accommodations (cabins, view rooms) have kitchenettes, you won't have to eat all your meals out, but when you want to, there are a number of excellent restaurants in Seward Alaska. If you've never stayed in a small "ma & pa" accommodation, or if you normally stay in a hotel or motel, or bed and breakfast, you'll want to come stay with us and experience something special! We'd love to have you as our guests; we'll do everything we can to make sure you have a comfortable stay!
