Heavenly Lodging in Seward Alaska
| This room opened in June of 2008. Below we've provided a selection of these quotes from the View Nest Room guest book. Many guest book entries also include detailed accountings of things seen and done. We're limiting the quotes below to more about the cabin, and less about all the activities (our recommendations in the Things to Do section reflect our guests' feedback about activities). This beautiful waterfront room lodging near the shores of Resurrection Bay just south of Seward Alaska will charm you with its intimate relationship with the surrounding scenery. We hope these quotes below will help you get a feel for how special our accommodations are, and encourage you to consider our small ma & pa offering instead of a traditional Seward hotel or motel, or traditional bed and breakfast. We care about your stay and will do what we can to make sure you are comfortable! |
“Thanks for a great stay in Seward! We made sure that we came back early from dinner so we could enjoy the views from Angels Rest. The sun reflecting off the mountains and the bay at 11:00 p.m. was an awesome sight. And I just saw an eagle fly by while a hummingbird was at the feeder! We’ll recommend you to our friends and family.”“What a beautiful cabin! It was quiet and peaceful – a perfect get away.” “Thanks for the wonderful stay – your cabin is beautiful and so nice to relax in. A great combination of enjoying the beautiful outdoors – and the cozy indoors. Thanks!” “The cabin was perfect! The landscape here is just beautiful and the view from the cabin unmatched. We felt really cozy and at home here….Hope to come back one day!” “Thank you for your warm & beautiful touches on the Heron’s View Nest; you have made a wonderful cozy spot to spend a couple of nights in Seward. You have a lovely place here and I hope to return with my husband some day.” “Thanks for a cozy peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed the views and the quiet.” “Great view! Peaceful and relaxing. There are so many things to do in Seward, Alaska and the surrounding area, from simple wildlife watching and hiking to boat tours into the Kenai Fjords National Park to see glaciers and wildlife, that we encourage you to stay at least 3 nights so that you can take advantage of the numerous activities that make Seward such a special place to visit. The mountains surrounding Resurrection Bay provide spectacular scenery and they are alive with wildlife, as is the bay itself. The wildlife of the area includes bald eagles, bear (both black and brown), mountain goats, dall sheep, sea lions, dall porpoise, harbor seal, sea otters, humpback whales, sea birds & ducks too numerous to list! Seward itself is a charming town with two distinct areas of enjoyment. Downtown Seward offers a number of special businesses. The Seward Small Boat Harbor is a delightful place to walk around on a nice day (with an ice cream cone from the Harbor Creamery, if you like!), and the Alaska SeaLife Center and Seward Museum, or any of several coffee shops, are perfect places to spend a rainy afternoon. Since all of our waterfront lodging accommodations (cabins, view rooms) have kitchenettes, you won't have to eat all your meals out, but when you want to, there are a number of excellent restaurants in Seward Alaska. If you've never stayed in a small "ma & pa" accommodation, or if you normally stay in a hotel or motel, or bed and breakfast, you'll want to come stay with us and experience something special! We'd love to have you as our guests; we'll do everything we can to make sure you have a comfortable stay!
We encourage travelers to Alaska to make the investment in Trip or Travel Insurance. |
