Arrived in a snowy white out, unable to see anything. Awoke with a slate blue sky behind chiseled mountains and a cobalt-colored bay - otters, birds, mist coming off the water, and finally, a dazzling triumphant sunrise! The weather was wonderful & we actually felt the warmth of the sun! We saw a seal in the bay and an eagle dining on what appeared to be a sea gull yesterday. Once again we had a great time. Palmer, Alaska

What an oasis of comfort & beauty! We loved the incredible wildflowers, awesome view, amazing hikes (we recommend the Harding Icefield hike-strenuous but worth every step-take lots of snacks - and also the hike from Lowell Pt. to Tonsina Pt.), charming ambiance of your cabin. Thanks for creating this tiny piece of heaven to share - how appropriate for us to glimpse the beauty of the "Resurrection" from "Angels Rest." Just sitting in a chair looking out at the bay or reading a book in silence....all this allowed me the quiet moments I needed at this time. A beautiful place and a beautiful cabin. Thank you for staying open year round and giving people a chance to experience Seward (&Alaska) in such a wonderful way.

Although the sun didn't show us his face, mother nature had her arms around us for our short stay at Angels Rest. Since this was a business trip we can't stay longer but we feel honored to have spent our 4 month wedding anniversary at this beautiful place! Juneau, Alaska
After a dark rainy drive, we relaxed into the sound of the water and beauty of Resurrection Bay! We enjoyed sunrises, and snowy mountains and are now refreshed. The Wing Cabin is a special place that will stay in our minds & hearts for a lifetime. We greatly enjoyed the spectacular view, a beautiful bald eagle outside our door, and the enjoyment of sea otters gathering and eating their food. We hope to visit again in the winter--can't even imagine how beautiful this place must be in the snow! Washington, D.C.
I'm trying to figure out how to telecommute from Alaska so I can stay here forever. I don't think my boss will go for it. :-) We loved it here. The view from the cabin made it very hard to go out and do anything else! The weather has been absolutely gorgeous for the past few days. We took the day long Major Marine Tour and spotted orcas, sea otters, humpback whales, puffins and kittiwakes on our first full day here. Amazing. Thank you Lynda & Paul. We'll return to Chicago with photos and memories of the awesome view from this cottage. Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to live on the edge of Resurrection Bay for the past few days. It has been unique and inspiring to wake up and fall asleep to the dramatic moods of the clouds and mountains as well as the sounds of the birds and sea. Your pride in your cabin is well founded--you've thought of every detail--from warm sheets & blankets to trail maps and guide book, videos and games. Thanks again. Highland Park, Illinois
Sadly, our time at this beautiful waterfront cabin has come to an end. One of your special treats, a pair of bald eagles inviting us to dinner. They allowed us to watch their feast of salmon right on our own beach front. Otters floating by and salmon jumping along with the red tipped mountains at sunset. What more could one want? We need a new adjective to describe the beauty of Angels Rest & the pleasure we have had in Seward. "Our" sea otters out front made it difficult to leave the Wing cabin to enjoy the area's wildlife...but we did. Thank you for sharing your corner of the world and your cabin with us. Gorgeous, gorgeous weather - clear, warm (36), blue sky, seal ion 2 eagles, harbor seals, old squaw, cormorants, friendly neighbors. Grey whale swimming by... Whenever you come to a wonderful, beautiful and quiet place as this--away from emails, telephone calls, and television - you remember your real self and it is lost in our normally wild and hectic lives. We realize what we're missing and vow to do something about it. All too soon we're back in the same frenetic rat race leading to early aging and death. Someday soon we'll make the leap back in a more reasonable and relaxed life. Some day soon!! Lovely place, such thoughtful amenities, so clean & well-kept. Thank you, we'll be back. Anchorage, Alaska
This was our 3rd year staying at this relaxing retreat! Not a cloud in the sky, but the winds were high. We saw lots of sea lions, otters, birds (including a crane), 2 star fish. On the 20th the northern lights were out and illuminated the mountain peaks! We can't wait until our next visit! Fairbanks, Alaska

What a wonderful place! Harding Ice Field trail truly awesome. Saw 4 bears and some marmots. In town we saw two sea lions around the public dock. Back here at the cabin - lots of birds and an eagle, also a couple of seals poking their heads up. This is a beautiful place. So glad we had the opportunity to stay here at the Wing. Wow! Thank you so much! After admiring all the thoughtful, homey touches of your cabin, I sat on the bed and took in perhaps the most beautiful nature scene of my lifetime. Saw marine life every day from the cabin and got a much hoped for glimpse of a humpback whale on Major Marine Tours. Otters wrestling in the rain today were a total crack up. Everywhere you turn here Jehovah's creation fills your heart with awe and love and takes you breath away. Sioux Falls, South Dakota
